Canine Atopic Dermatitis (CAD)

Canine Atopic Dermatitis (CAD) is a chronic dermatological condition of allergic origin (food, insects, pollens...). The symptoms of the disease can be itching, recurrent ear infections or depilated, red and infected (pyoderma) areas of skin. Some breeds such as the French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever or Westie have predisposition .

Published or ongoing studies propose administration of stem cells by slow intravenous injection. The injection of stem cells seems to improve skin lesions and reduce itching. 13 As part of its clinical development program, Vetbiobank is initiating a clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of neonatal stem cells in this indication.
