Gingivostomatitis

Gingivostomatitis is a general ulcerative condition of the gums, tongue and mouth. This disease is caused by a virus that can be transmitted between cats or through the environment. Inflammation and pain are so severe that infected cats stop feeding.

Published and ongoing studies propose administration of stem cells by slow intravenous injection. Stem cells would act as modulators of immunity and improve clinical status by reducing inflammation of the oral cavity. 11, 12
